Bangkok by Foot
Much of Bangkok's personality lies in its streets. The bright colors fight grit and tropical heat, while flavroful scents waft through crowded alleys, and the curves of the Thai language draw your eyes to the signs and storefronts. All of this adds texture and depth to the streets, making every stroll unique and surprising. Kind faces were always greeting us, and daily life passed us by without regard. So many of the streets felt so different, yet familiar—a cultural thread tying the city together. ◆
