Sprawling Bangkok
Bangkok had always been a mysterious city to us. Wild parties, exotic foods, and the countless tuk tuks depicted in movies undoubtedly intrigued us. We found all those things in ample amounts, but also much more than we expected.
The city was dense and sprawling to levels beyond comprehension. We couldn't tell where Bangkok began or ended among countless streets and alleys, full of towering concrete structures. Amazing street food could be found nearly everywhere, along with temples, open air markets and a teeming melting pot of Asian cultures. Massive shopping malls provided relief from humidity and some of the best cuisine to boot. ◆
